Annual Discovery Concert for Area Fourth Graders
|
|
FanFare, the Santa Fe Symphony's Community Engagement Committee, hosts over 1,500 area students from Northern New Mexico public, private, and pueblo schools at a free concert at the historic Lensic Performing Arts Center. Prior to the concert, each student is provided with a study guide prepared by FanFare..
Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico are known internationally for their incomparable concentration of the performing arts. FanFare seeks to ensure that these cultural riches are easily accessible
to local audiences.
In addition to the award-winning mentor programs and scholarships that are made available to youth in Santa Fe, Northern New Mexico and beyond, FanFare also organizes free chamber music
recitals by Santa Fe Symphony musicians for
residents of retirement homes across Santa Fe. |

FanFare's goal is to further the Santa Fe Symphony's mission to be an active, year-round cultural resource—inspiring, engaging, and enriching local audiences, young and old.
“"If FanFare can ever aff ord to expand this [Mentoring]
program, we could certainly put more mentors to work—we need them! I applaud this program as the most valuable resource we have from our performing
arts organizations—child for child. Can't thank you enough."
