Gregory W. Heltman
Founder & General Director
   
As Founder & General Director of The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, Mr. Heltman oversees and supervises the Operations Manager, Public Relations & Box Office Manager, and the Patron Development Administrator. 

In cooperation with the Musicians' Steering Committee, Chorus Director, guest conductors, and the community, Mr. Heltman provides organizational vision and assists the Music Director in providing artistic leadership. 

Mr. Heltman also serves as the principal spokesperson and advocate in the community for the Symphony. He received a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance (trumpet) cum laude from the University of the Pacific. and is a graduate of Santa Fe High School.

Mr. Heltman's professional career in music is as a trumpet player with the Israel Sinfonietta, the Santa Fe Symphony, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. He taught vocal, general music, and band in the Santa Fe Public Schools from 1989-1999.
