The Symphony honors the legacy of our 16th president with "In Honor of Lincoln," a diverse view of music in America led by guest conductor Robert Trevino, Associate Conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Repertoire includes Copland's "Lincoln Portrait" narrated by Jill Scott Momaday; "Pageant and Proclamation" by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer George Walker, who will also be in attendance; "Liberty Fanfare" by composer John Williams; Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, "From The New World"; as well as "Ascension" for winds and percussion by Santa Fe's own composer Jared Baca. Free pre-concert lecture at 3 p.m.
