GREGORY W. HELTMAN

Gregory Heltman is the Founder & General Director of the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus. He oversees and supervises the Operations Manager, Public Relations & Box Office Manager, and the Fund Development Manager.  In cooperation with the Musicians’ Steering Committee, Chorus Director, guest conductors, and the community, Mr. Heltman provides organizational vision and assists the Music Director in providing artistic leadership. 

Mr. Heltman’s professional career in music is as a trumpet player. He has performed with the Israel Sinfonietta, the Santa Fe Symphony, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and Santa Fe Opera Orchestra.  Mr. Heltman taught vocal, general music and band in the Santa Fe Public Schools from 1989-1999 .

Mr. Heltman also serves as the principal spokesperson and advocate in the community for the Symphony.Mr. Heltman received a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance (trumpet) cum laude from the University of the Pacific.  He is a graduate of Santa Fe High School.
